My husband, Sandy was born in Marshall, TX.  Sandy's mom died when she was 38 years old and he was 11 years old.  He was raised by his dad, Harrison Fields, Sr who was born in Ferriday, LA.  Sandy, Jr. grew up living with his grandparents, Mattie (MA) and BIG DADDY in Ferriday, LA along with his other 5 brothers and 1 sister.  Just up the road was where Jerry Lee Lewis lived with his parents.  Jerry Lee Lewis who sang/played piano to "GREAT BALLS OF FIRE" was born in Ferriday, LA

Sandy was told that his mom, Willie Mae,(her grandmother on her moms side) was a Cherokee Princess.  My husband is a descendant of royalty.  :0)
